The fun filled folks from New Belgium have come up with a new brew. Welcome Hoptober Golden Ale. Brew Notes:

Five hops and four malts make Hoptober Golden Ale a veritable cornucopia of the earth.  Pale and wheat malt are mashed with rye and oats to create a medium-bodied ale with a creamy mouthfeel. Centennial, Cascade, Sterling, Willamette, and Glacier hops form a bonfire of citrus notes, fruity cheers and a bold finale. 40 IBU – 6% ABV

Can’t wait to try – should be coming soon hopefully.

Thanks Jesse – a trip to City Beer is needed (for more then just Hoptober)

I know people hate the word, but I thought this was a fantastic session beer (even though it is 6%). Thought the name is misleading, as it is neither overly Hoppy, or something I would think of as a fall seasonal. At only 40 IBU, the hop flavor/aroma is certainly noticable. I could see myself knocking a lot of these back during the hot summer days, which we still seem to be having :)
