Thoughts on beer in a can

By Joe Ruvel · January 27th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Two articles about canning beer and the environment. The treehugger article is not really targeted at the craft beer can renaissance that is still going on, and so I include the other article, but there are still some interesting points.

It is a good idea, I think, to remind ourselves to enjoy good local beer from a keg (try a growler!) that didn’t have to travel far and doesn’t use a bottle or a can. Of course where I live, there is more good local craft beer then I can drink…doesn’t stop me from trying.

oh so many different topics to go on about when it comes the the changes in the industry and new kegs, bottles and cans. In the mean time if you need empty bottles for home brewing we like to recycle them.

Yup. And in the end the more you appreciate good local beer – the more the good stuff from far away actually matters.

And I might take you up on some of the empty bottles. Thanks man.
