The topic for Session 13 was suggested by Chris O’Brien at the Beer Activist Blog – organic beer.
It’s an issue that’s very important to us. Since moving to the San Francisco bay area, we’ve made a conscious effort to eat more of the organic food that’s readily available here (we try especially hard to buy organic milk). This lead naturally into an effort to also eat locally, something we think can be even more important than organics. We have great local beer here, too, but we’re just discovering the world of organic beer and what it means. We drank some Bison Brewery beer, along with Cowgirl Creamery cheese and Acme Bread – all products that are both organic and local to California. Yeah, we’re lucky, we know!
Bison Brewery – Chocolate Stout & Belgian Style ale
Cowgirl Creamery – Red Hawk and Sir Francis Drake
Acme Bread Co
