SF Beer Week Gala

By Jasmine · February 6th, 2010 · 2 Comments

What a party. Lot’s of amazing beer that is for sure. The pours were heavy and the choices were many. Favorites? As usual it becomes a blur after the first few. But here are a few that I remember loving:

Imperial Common – made at Speakasy, I think, and the official beer of beer week. Taking a regular common and amping it up.

Delilah Jones Rye – Magnolia – this was a great beer. I love rye but this was something special.

Pomegranate Saison – Valley – I love the way the use Pomegranate – will probably get more of this tonight at the Valley tasting.

Weizenbock – Sierra Nevada – good drinkable light brew.

E.S. Chi – Marin – Herbal Ale – nice – something different. I think I heard someone say that Jerry Garcia’s herbalist helped pick out the herbs for the beer.

Time to get going to the Double IPA fest at the Bistro. Check out some pics from last night:

Well then, I didn’t know Jasmine made it to the Beer Gala last night! (Ha ha, I had to point that out. Did you write this directly AFTER the Gala?)
