Homebrew #1: ready for consumption

By Jasmine · June 25th, 2009 · 4 Comments

One of the best parts of homebrewing (well, for me anyways) is getting to give your beer a fun name and then creating an original label for it. Joe’s first true brew, named Cata-Luke in honor of my brother Luke finally dragging us to the beer supply store to get it started, is ready. I made labels last night and have started slapping them on. Thanks Luke!

HA! You must have had a difficult time looking through all of my pictures to find just the right proportion of stupid-looking coupled with a hint of embarrassment, yet not offensive enough to keep people from drinking it.

Aliza’s new beer is almost ready to go into a keg! It’s an Extra Special Bitter, no name yet. Our last beer was The Hefenator, with a wonderful sketch and quote from the Governator. I’m thinking we might stick with the action hero theme. Maybe a JCVD ESB is in order?

Also, be sure to check out the website I linked to. I think it’s a substantial improvement over the original… don’t you?

Finding that particular proportion was easy. It was choosing from the plethora of options that was the trouble…:)
Actually, I picked it because you look fierce, like I better make you some beer OR ELSE YOU WILL STAB ME.

Didn’t thought about that before. This might convince to start some homebrewing.

    Cheers!
