Jasmine and I aren’t really big into Valentine’s Day. I mean we want to do something together and romantic but we go out to dinner enough that deciding to NOT go out on Valentine’s Day is fine with us. So last night we stayed in and had a simple dinner made up of veggies from our new CSA. Roasted golden beets, red mustard greens, kale, and some amazing leeks. Maybe not the most complete meal but we liked it.
We ended the meal with beer and chocolate. Think of it as a precursor to Bruce Paton’s amazing beer dinner that we are going to tonight. Good pairing, Ellie’s Brown from Avery, creamy, nutty, and, well, a little chocolaty paired with Scharffenberger bittersweet and mocha bars. Delicious!
