One of the best experiences I had at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver was on Saturday morning when I attended the Pink Boots Society brunch at Wynkoop Brewery. The Pink Boots Society is the brainchild of Teri Fahrendorf, who I have been following since her days of Road Brewer blogging. It is a society for women brewers and techs, with brewery owners and beer writers like me as non-voting members. While the rest of us sucked down bagels and lox and coffee to stave off hangovers from the previous night’s beeranza, Teri outlined her vision for the Pink Boots Society’s future goals:
Teri was passionate and after some discussion, all voting members (meaning that I just watched) voted on the goals. The next meeting will be at the Craft Brewing Conference in Boston.
I also met Megan Parisi, Lead Brewer for the Cambridge Brewing Company and set up an interview with her for that afternoon–more on that in another post.
